Native ferns and wildflowers since 1897

Strand Nursery Company is a wholesale company of ferns and wildflowers. For Fall 2004 we will be offering 10 varieties of ferns and 18 varieties of wildflowers. We have indicated which of these ferns and wildflowers are native to Wisconsin and collected entirely by our company. Those that are not native are mostly collected from the state of Tennessee and individually gone over by our company employee's to guarantee their supreme quality.


We strive to meet our customers needs, so if you don't see the product listed that you are looking for, please contact us. We may be able to collect what you need or get it from another supplier.

Maidenhair Fern (Adiantum pedatum) 12-18" Moist, rich soil. Shade.
Ostrich Fern (Pteretis nodulosa) 2-5'. Moist soil. Sun or shade.
Sensitive Fern (Onoclea sensibilis) 12". Wet soil. Sun or shade.

Note: many of our ferns and wildflowers that are mentioned as being supplied from Tennessee are also supplied from our beds as well. We are slowly reducing the amount from Tennessee. Check for "northern" plants when ordering these if you wish.


All products are sized and inspected before leaving our grounds. We guarantee them in good representation and condition when packed, customer assumes all risks after leaving our care. All complaints must be made upon arrival of plants and in no case will we be held for damage exceeding original purchase price. We will not be held responsible for plants failure because of improper planting and care.
