Strand Nursery Company has been a wholsale/distributor of quality dormant ferns and wildflowers to retail nurseries and landscapers since 1897. Our customers include small to major retail nurseries and other wholesale companies throughout the United States. We are one of a handful of businesses like ours, and offer some unique only to us products. We value and appreciate our customers - for without them we would not be in business!


Strand Nursery Company was began in 1897 by the Strand family, in the late 1970's it was sold to the Hutton family whom own it still today. It was began in Taylors Falls, MN and later moved to Osceola, WI (about 10 miles away). In 1992 because of needed expansion, the company was moved 25 miles north to Cushing, WI where it is located today. Many of the same ferns and wildflowers that were sold in 1897 can still be purchased. The quality and service that has caused this company to flourish has continued to the present.


Strand Nursery Company is located 70 miles northeast of Minneapolis/St. Paul in a beautiful part of Wisconsin located near the Minnesota/Wisconsin border and the St. Croix River Valley. We are, however, a wholesale nursery and not open to the public.


We are a licensed nursery through the state of Wisconsin. Our license number is #585.
